Kevin Jewell, CEO
Kevin hails from Asheville, North Carolina and got his start in aviation in 1985, when he joined the Navy, became an aircrewman and traveled the globe on the P-3C Orion anti-submarine and maritime patrol aircraft. He later transitioned to Navy Special Mission and flew in two squadrons as a Crew Chief on the Gulfstream III, IV and 550 aircraft before retiring in 2012 and hiring-on at Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia. As an Entry into Service Technician for Gulfstream, Kevin delivered and provided ‘service after the sale’ on multiple large cabin aircraft (G450s, 550s, 650s and the GVII 500/600) to domestic and international customers.
In 2018 he became the Director of Maintenance at Vulcan Value Partners, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama, managing maintenance activities for a G280 first, then a G500. Additionally, Kevin, a Commercial pilot, completed his instrument and multi-engine training and attended SIC type rating courses for both aircraft, gaining domestic and international experience.
Kevin’s extensive experience delivering and managing aircraft has enabled him to build an unimaginable network of aviation resources. His
intricate understanding of OEM practices and incredible focus on practicality and safety enables him to deliver tremendous value to our client partners seeking full-spectrum management solutions.
Greg Anderson, COO
Greg grew up in Smyrna, Georgia and is the son of a retired Navy Master Chief. As a young man exposed to carrier aviation, it caught his interest and eventually, he pursued it. After a brief enlistment, he was accepted for a Navy scholarship and attended Auburn University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Aviation Management and went to Pensacola, Florida for flight training. Greg’s career provided the opportunity to fly multiple airframes including the E-2C Hawkeye, T-2C Buckeye, C-130 Hercules and the Gulfstream III, IV and 550 aircraft. Additionally, he served as a Gulfstream Standards Evaluator and received his MBA from The Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
With a vast experience spectrum ranging from carrier aircraft to Special Air Mission, Greg retired in 2011 and in 2012 went to work at Gulfstream Aerospace where he flew the Astra, G200, G280 and G450/550 aircraft. He was also the Operations Manager for the Demonstration group.
In 2017 he became the Director of Aviation for Vulcan Value Partners in Birmingham, Alabama and built a top-tier flight department from scratch, operating a G200, G280 and GVII (500) successively.
Today, through the joint development of Cheaha Aviation Partners, Greg is wholly invested in providing a sensible, scalable application of corporate aviation knowledge to client partners in need of solutions for flight department and aircraft management.
Rob Lee, Safety Management Systems Expert
Rob Lee, the son of a career Naval Flight Officer, grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia; Naples, Italy; and Annapolis, Maryland. Early exposure to navy aircraft and people led Rob to pursue a lifelong career flying, first in Naval Aviation and then in large and small flight departments.
Rob’s interest in Aviation Safety began as a teenager by reading his dad’s copies of “Approach” the Navy’s aviation safety magazine. He progressed to formal education in mishap investigation/prevention at the Naval Post Graduate School’s Aviation Safety Officer and Aviation Safety Command Classes. His education includes course work in civilian Safety Management Systems and IS-BAO familiarization/auditor courses.
Rob has hands on experience with all aspects of producing a Safety Management System that substantially reduces operational risk and is audit compliant. His military safety programs earned his units the coveted Safety “S” award; he managed a Fortune 50 flight department SMS from ISBAO Stage I to Stage III and he has created a streamlined ICAO compliant SMS for a one aircraft operation.

Justin Knapp, Cabin Safety Management Specialist
Justin grew up in Ludington, Michigan and is in the middle of three brothers that all joined the military. Choosing the Navy, Justin served on an
aircraft carrier where he became interested in flying. While at his next assignment in Signonella, Sicily, he acted on his interest and applied for
special duty in air transportation, attended Naval Aircrew Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida and qualified as a Transportation Safety
Specialist (TSS) Naval Aircrewmen for Navy and Marine Corps Senior Leaders.
As a Special Air Mission TSS, he became the Assistant Wing Evaluator for Commander Fleet Logistics Support Wing where he conducted audits
and evaluations for the entire airwing, eventually becoming the Lead Evaluator of the Training and Safety Department. He Flew 500+ missions,
totaling over 4300 mishap-free flight hours on GIII, GV and G550 aircraft.
Additionally, Justin completed courses at the Culinary Institute of America and achieved certification as a Certified Hotel and Restaurant
Manager for the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Justin prepared and served 5-Star inflight meals, exceptional customer service and is
intimately familiar with the refined nature of business aviation cabin service.
Retiring in 2020, he was hired in 2021 as the Cabin Safety/Management Specialist for Vulcan Value Partners, operating the G500 and
responsible for safety, inflight medical procedures, security, inflight culinary service and all pre and post flight preparations. He is our expert
cabin advisor at Cheaha and provides our clients with his highly regarded perspective on premium user experience.
